UG researchers to collaborate on grant examining domestic violence in the workplace

Centre Director Myrna Dawson and Belinda Leach, faculty in the Department of Sociology & Anthropology, are collaborators on a recently-funded SSHRC Partnership Development Grant awarded to the Centre for Research & Education on Violence Against Women and Children (CREVAWC), Western University, to examine the impact of domestic violence on workers and workplaces. The grant will help facilitate the development of a Canadian-led international network that will conduct research and mobilize knowledge about domestic violence in the workplace. Dawson has been an Academic Research Associate with the CREVAWC since 2003 with whom she also co-directs the Canadian Domestic Homicide Prevention Initiative.
