CSSLRV Director and Sociology professor, Myrna Dawson, has been appointed as the Senior Advisor for the United Nations Femicide Watch Platform which was launched in the spring of 2017 at the 26th Session of the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice. The Femicide Watch Platform offers key information on the issue of femicide/feminicide such as core definitions, data, landmark decisions, good practices across jurisdictions, topical and regional reading lists and so on. It also offers direct access to experts and practitioners from around the world and across disciplines.
